Romans 3

"Do you think [your] faithlessness cancels out His faithfulness? Not on your life! Depend on it: God keeps His word even when the world is lying through its teeth."

If the more evil we do the more good God does, aren't we really doing God a favor? How many times to we try to justify our sins. It's ridiculous, really. God doesn't need favors.

We don't get free passes just for being Christians. God holds us accountable for our sins. We should be even more accountable for sins we commit knowing it's wrong. We as humans are incapable of living a perfect life. While we may have some innate desires to do good, we still are sinners.

"Since we've compiled this long and sorry record as sinners and proved that we are utterly incapable of living the glorious lives God wills for us, God did it for us. Out of sheer generosity He put us in right standing with himself. A pure gift. He got us out of the mess we're in and restored us to where He always wanted us to be. And He did it by means of Jesus Christ."

How incredible is that? God knew we would not be able to live the perfect lives He created for us because as humans we would fall into sin. Instead of giving up on us He sent his son to take on the consequences of our sins so that we can live.

"God sacrificed Jesus on the altar of the world to clear that world of sin. Having faith in Him sets us in the clear."

God does not respond to what we do, we respond to what God does.

Respond and have faith that God will set things right so that you can also live in His rightness.

Lord,
I thank you for sending your Son to be sacrificed on the altar of the world so that I may live in your rightness. I pray Lord that you will forgive me when I stray. I pray someone reading this will open their hearts to you. Thank you for all that you do.
In your name, Amen.
